The Lee's Summit West Titans defeated the Fort Osage Indians 70-62 in the semi-finals of the Nelson Division of the American Family Insurance Holiday Classic at William Jewell College.
The Titans used a strong second quarter by outscoring Fort Osage 18-4 to go into halftime up 33-19. The Titans found themselves up by as much as 17 before Fort Osage made things interesting by cutting the deficit to 6 with 2:19 to play. The Titans were then able to close out the game from the free throw line.
Lee's Summit West was led by Trevory Gregory with 17 and Jarred Dixson and Monte Harrison with 12 points each.
Fort Osage was led by Skylar Thompson who came off the bench to pace the Indians with 17.
The Titans will take on the winner of Blue Springs South and Pleasant Hill tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. for the Nelson Division Championship.
