The St. Joseph Central Indians beat the Grandview Bulldogs 56-51 in the consolation semifinal of the Nelson Division in the American Family Insurance Holiday Classic at William Jewell College.
The Indians opened with a strong first quarter and led 21-8 after the first frame. Grandview turned things around in the second and outscored the Indians 21-13 and narrowed the gap to five by halftime.
The Bulldogs then pulled within one to start the fourth but Central was able to hold on for the five point win.
Shun Williams led all scores with 24 for the Indians while Derek Gray and Tyree Mayfield each tossed in 10.
Nathan Scott was Grandview's only scorer in double digits with 15.
St. Joseph Central moves on to play the winner of O'Hara and Kansas City Central on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
