BYRON EVANS COMPETES AT NATIONAL INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD MEET
Marshall, Mo. (March 2, 2013)- Missouri Valley College indoor track and field student-athlete Junior Byron Evans (Chicago, Ill.) competed Saturday at the NAIA National Indoor Track and Field Championships in Geneva, Ohio. Evans qualified for the National meet in the triple jump competition.
Competing Saturday afternoon, Evans finished in 16th place in the triple jump event with a best jump of 14.01 meters. The individual champion in the event had a jump of 15.12 meters. Evans achieved his best jump on his first attempt. His second attempt was scratched due to a foul, and his third jump measured 13.26 meters.
Indoor track and field has finished for the 2012-2013 season, but the 2013 outdoor track and field season begins for Missouri Valley with the Missouri Relays in Columbia, Mo. March 22-23.
