MVC MEN'S TENNIS TEAM RECEIVING VOTES IN LATEST POLL

 

Marshall, Mo. (March 19, 2013)- The Missouri Valley College men's tennis team remains in the "others receiving votes" category in the second regular season NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll released Tuesday. 

 

The Vikings have been receiving votes in the poll since the preseason poll was released in January.  The team played its first matches of the season last week in Hilton Head, S.C.  The Vikings came away with victories over Ithaca College and Milligan College, but were defeated by Georgetown College, a team also receiving votes, Dickinson College and No. 22 Spring Arbor University.  On Monday, the men's tennis team was defeated by NCAA Division II No. 25 Northwest Missouri State University in a road matchup.

 

The men's and women's tennis teams are scheduled to be in action this evening at Westminster College in Fulton, Mo.
