FOUR MVC TENNIS TEAM MEMBERS MAKE ALL-CONFERENCE LIST
Marshall, Mo. (May 6, 2013)- Four members of the Missouri Valley College men's and women's tennis teams have earned all-conference recognition for their play during the 2013 season.
Earning Heart of America Athletic Conference recognition on the men's side was Freshman Lucas Oliveira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) who was named to the first team list and Sophomore Welsey Ng (Brampton, Ontario) who received second team honors.
Two Lady Vikings were named second team all-conference, including Freshman Christina Fergason (Lexington, Mo.) and Freshman Jenna Roller (Bolivar, Mo.).
"These players are well deserving of their awards," says Head Tennis Coach Ryan Carney. "We have three freshman and one sophomore selected to the all-conference teams, and that is very encouraging for the future of our program."
The men's tennis team ended 2013 with a 9-9 record while the Lady Vikings ended the season with a record of 9-10.
