Rockhust wins Patterson Division at American Family Insurance Holiday Classic, Jewell Tournament

The Rockhurst Hawklets defeated the Liberty Blue Jays 56-49 to become champions of the Patterson Division of the American Family Insurance Holiday Classic at William Jewell College.

Rockhurst jumped out to an early 20-7 lead and then led 20-11 after the first quarter of play.

Liberty then went on an 8-0 run to start the second quarter to cut the lead to 20-15.  The Blue Jays held the Hawklets to only 6 second quarter points and trailed 26-20 at the half.

The Blue Jays kept things close in the second half and even tied the score late in the contest but could never take a lead. 

Rockhurst was led by Kyle Wolf who scored 15 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. 

The Blue Jays were led in scoring by Kellan Turner and Brandyn Moultie who each scored 11.
