Former Missouri Valley Vikings Men's Soccer Player Coming to Kansas City Area in January

FORMER VIKINGS MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER COMING TO KANSAS CITY AREA IN JANUARY

Marshall, Mo. (December 14, 2012)- Pedro Franco (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Missouri Valley College alumnus and former men's soccer player is now playing professional soccer for the Rochester Lancers of the Major Indoor Soccer Leagues.  Franco earned Heart of America all-conference honors and NAIA all-America honors during his playing career at MVC.  He was also named the 2010 HAAC Defensive Player of the Year.

The Lancers will be playing the Missouri Comets at the Independence Events Center in Independence, Mo., Saturday Jan. 19 at 7:35 p.m.  To welcome Pedro back to Missouri, a special ticket rate has been set for those wanting to see him play.  The group ticket price has been set at $10.  For more information on tickets, contact Brent Garrison with the Missouri Comets at 855-522-7362.

Franco scored his first goal of the season against the Missouri Comets in a game played in Rochester, N.Y. on Dec. 1, and has played in five of the team's games this season.
