MVC TENNIS TEAMS OPEN THEIR SEASONS IN SOUTH CAROLINA
Marshall, Mo. (March 11, 2013)- The Missouri Valley College men's and women's tennis teams started their 2013 seasons on the road in Hilton Head, S.C. The Vikings took on Ithaca College in the first day of a week-long tennis event. The men's team, which is receiving votes in the NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll, defeated Ithaca 7-2. Meanwhile Ithaca defeated the Lady Vikings in all nine matches.
In day two of the event, the Vikings took on Milligan College. The men's team defeated Milligan 7-2, while the Lady Vikings lost to Milligan 9-0. The Milligan women's tennis team is receiving votes in the NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
The men's tennis team is 2-0 on the season, while the Lady Vikings are 0-2. Tuesday the tennis teams will play Georgetown College at 8:30 a.m. in Hilton Head, S.C.
