MVC RODEO CONTINUES COMPETING AT COLLEGE NATIONAL FINALS RODEO
Marshall, Mo. (June 14, 2013)- The Missouri Valley College men's and women's rodeo teams continued competing at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyo. Thursday.
On the men's side after Thursday's events, Freshman Dalton Kingery (Monroe, Iowa) is placed No. 24 in saddle bronc riding, Senior Cody Metsker (Taylorville, Ill.) is placed in a tie for No. 26 in steer wrestling and Junior Ben Runyon (Tallula, Ill.) sits at No. 7 in team roping.
Competing this week at the CNFR on the women's side is Sophomore Kacey Struxness (Appleton, Minn.) who is sitting in No. 24 in breakaway roping and No. 39 in goat tying, Senior Kelsey Davis (Belmont, N.C.) is in No. 24 in barrel racing and No. 36 in breakaway roping, while Junior Chelsey Merrigan (Conception Junction, Mo.) is at No. 17 in breakaway roping.
After Thursday's competition, the men's team is up to No. 20 in the team standings, while the Lady Vikings are at No. 32.
Events continue in Casper, Wyo. through Saturday.
