H. Roe Bartle for Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame

H. Roe Bartle was
  • Chief Scout Executive of the Wyoming Council BSA
  • Chief Scout Executive of the Pony Express Council BSA
  • Chief Scout Executive of the Kansas City Area Council
  • Founder and first Chief of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, thus the nickname/title “The Chief”
  • Regional director of the Economic Stabilization Agency(Appointed by President Truman)
  • Founder of the American Humanics Foundation, currently The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance
  • National president of Alpha Phi Omega(Service fraternity)
  • President of Missouri Valley College

While serving two terms as Mayor of Kansas City, he was instrumental in persuading Lamar Hunt to move the American Football League franchise, Dallas Texans to Kansas City. After moving, Hunt named the team The Chiefs, after H. Roe Bartle.
Because of his influence upon the youth of the Kansas City area and beyond, upon the citizens of Kansas City and especially the NFL franchise named after him, I propose that one more honor be added posthumously to the above list .

I propose that H. Roe Bartle be inducted into the Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame.
