MVC MEN'S SOCCER MOVES TO NO. 12 SPOT

 

Marshall, Mo. (October 8, 2013)- The Missouri Valley College men's soccer team fell two spots in this week's NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Poll to the No. 12 spot after splitting a pair of matches last week.  The Vikings defeated Ottawa University at home 1-0, but fell to No. 7 Benedictine College on the road 3-2.  The Vikings enter the week 8-2-1 on the season.

 

This week the Vikings have two Heart of America Athletic Conference matchups on the schedule as they travel to Central Methodist University Wednesday and host Graceland University Saturday.

 

Other upcoming MVC opponents ranked in this week's poll include No. 4 Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Baker University at No. 14 and No. 19 MidAmerica Nazarene University.

 

Both matches this week will be part of a doubleheader with the women's team.  Wednesday at Central Methodist University begins with women's match at 6:00 p.m. and the men's match at 8:00 p.m.  Saturday at Gregg-Mitchell Field the women's match with No. 14 Graceland starts at 5:00 p.m. and the men's match will start at 7:30 p.m.
