Knox Co wins 4th straight championship, school record. KC pitcher Lauren
Dale 38k in 24 tournament innings pitched. Beat defending Tri-County
conference co champion Brashear 7-1, KC over a well regarded Clarence Cannon
Conference South Shelby team 2-1.
KC handed previously undefeated Scotland County (5-1) a 2-1 loss in the
championship game. Dale 16k. Tigers 3 costly fourth inning errors. Dale
fanned the side after SC got runners on 2nd & third with none out in the
bottom of the sixth.
Scotland top seed. Knox Co third, South Shelby second seed.
South Shelby over Canton 7-6 in third place game. Brashear topped Kirksville
HS JV for consolation 7-0. Alexa Acton one hit shutout pitching performance.
Don't have 7th place score yet. Marion County and Paris.
First round Scotland Co over Paris 22-5 in 3 inn. Canton 14-6 over
Kirksville JV. South Shelby over Marion County 11-1, Knox Co over Brashear
7-1.
Scotland Co. over Canton 7-3 in other championship semi. Canton was 7-1
before losing semi and 3rd place game. South Shelby 3-4. Lady Birds play in
CCC with three 2012 final four teams and one State champ (Centralia in Cl3).
Kirksville JV over Paris 16-5. Brashear (3-2). Tigers 2 losses to Knox
County. BHS enrollment around 75 kids. Blasted a decent Linn County team
16-7 in first conference game last week.
